A Night at Carbon Copy

Some performances arrive as reminders that your art has value, your preparation matters, and the work you have been doing is creating new opportunities.

 

Performing at Carbon Copy felt like another step forward in building a career that honors both my creativity and the labor behind it. I was grateful to bring my music into a thoughtfully supported event and to share space with people who value live art.

 

Before every show, there are details the audience may never see, choosing the songs, preparing the tracks, rehearsing transitions, getting dressed, traveling, waiting, and calming the nerves before stepping into the light. Then the music begins, and all of that preparation becomes one living moment.

 

I am learning to appreciate the full journey, not only the applause at the end. Each part of the process is teaching me to become more grounded, more prepared, and more confident in what I bring.

 

I left feeling thankful for the invitation, for the people who made the event possible, and for another chance to let my songs live outside of me.

 

Reflection: Honor the work no one sees. It is part of what allows the visible moment to shine.
