An Intimate Night with Sofar Sounds 6-6-26

Sofar Sounds reminded me why intimate performances can be so powerful. In a close room, there is nowhere for the music to hide. Every lyric, breath, story, and moment of silence becomes part of the connection.

 

I opened with my “Trust the Process” poem and moved through “Say My Name,” “Tarot Lady,” “PUSH,” and “Heaven.” Each piece carried a different part of me, but together they told one story about vulnerability, self-trust, resilience, and love.

 

I was grateful for how warmly the audience received me. Their attention felt generous. Their responses reminded me that people can feel when an artist is offering something honest.

Thank you to Quincy and the Sofar team for creating such a thoughtful experience, to the musicians who helped bring the set to life, and to everyone who sat with me inside those songs. Thank you to Renaissance for capturing photographs that allowed me to hold onto the feeling of the night.

 

This performance felt like a quiet milestone. Not because everything suddenly changed afterward, but because I could feel myself changing while I was onstage. I felt more grounded, more open, and more certain that connection is one of my greatest strengths as a performer.

 

Reflection: Trust the process. Some rooms do not need to be large to make space for something unforgettable.
