Makers & Music in Camden 8-23-25
Makers & Music Festival, Camden, New Jersey

Performing at the Makers & Music Festival felt like a celebration of creativity in all its forms. Music and making come from the same brave place, the willingness to begin with an idea and keep shaping it until it can be shared.
I was grateful to bring my songs into a festival space in Camden and to be surrounded by people building, creating, and expressing themselves in their own ways. Events like this remind me that artists are makers too. We build worlds from melody, rhythm, language, memory, and feeling.
Every performance adds another layer to my confidence. Each one teaches me to trust my preparation while staying open to whatever the room gives back. The audience may be meeting me for the first time, but the songs carry every version of me that helped create them.
I left appreciative of the organizers, the fellow creatives, and everyone who paused to listen. Being discovered by even one new person can be the beginning of a meaningful connection.
Reflection: Keep making what feels true. The people meant to feel it can only find it after you are brave enough to share it.
