Music, Family, and the Mike & Mumba Show 5-30-26
The Mike & Mumba Show, Philadelphia

This show felt especially warm because my children were there. There is something tender about sharing the artist side of my life with the people who know me beyond the stage.
Performing at the Mike & Mumba Show reminded me that the different parts of who I am do not have to compete. I can be a mother, an artist, a producer, a dreamer, and a woman still discovering new parts of herself. All of those identities can exist in the same room.
I was grateful for the welcome, the opportunity to perform, and the kindness shown to me and my family. Some nights stay with you because of a particular note or crowd reaction. Others stay with you because of how supported and whole you felt inside the experience.
Looking out and knowing my children could see me doing something I love made the night feel bigger than the set itself. I hope they remember that dreams deserve care, courage, and room in our lives.
Reflection: The people we love may not witness every step, but it is beautiful when they get to stand beside us for part of the journey.
