Showing Up Unfinished
RAW: Unfinished, Serrata Events, Philadelphia
The name Unfinished stayed with me because it speaks so honestly to the creative journey. We are always becoming. Every song, every performance, and every new stage introduces us to another version of ourselves.
Performing at RAW reminded me that I do not have to wait until every detail feels perfect before allowing myself to be seen. There is beauty in sharing the journey while it is still unfolding. Growth is not something we have to hide until it is complete. Sometimes the process itself is the art.
I felt grateful to step into the room as I was, bringing my voice, my music, and everything I had learned up to that moment. Each performance teaches me something new about trusting myself. The more I allow myself to take up space, the more natural that space begins to feel.
That evening was another page in a much bigger story. Not a final arrival, but proof that I was moving, creating, and becoming more comfortable with being witnessed in real time.
Reflection: You do not have to be finished to be worthy of the moment. There is beauty in becoming where people can see you.
